Old Navy has found a new gig. They are selling funny looking attire.

Hey, wait a minute. Isn’t that their standard business model anyways?

Kyra Philip Pisses-Off Commander & Chief

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

You got to hand it to CNN. They are submerged in a ratings battle with Fox News. When all else fails, there is no choice but to spice up a boring press release with an edgy sound track. If Apple wants to make good money, they should sell the sound clip for $.99 on iTunes.

Kyra Philips has been accused of being overly Conservative. However, if you ask me, taking an on-air leak sounds pretty new-age & open to me!

This is a link to her CNN bio. While the information is accurate, there are several missing droplets. For example(s) 1) Kyra Philips has a LOVING husband. 2) Kyra Philips has a controlling brother-in-law.

If you have fallen for this anchor after this story, as I have, make sure to join the Yahoo group dedicated to Kyra Philips.

Is Lee Gomes of WSJ a “Copy-and-Paste Cat”?

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

I blog. You decide. Yesterday, an article in the WSJ was titled “Rabbinical Advice: How to Keep the Sabbath in a 24/7 Online World“. It was written by Lee Gomes. The piece is a Q&A with Rabbi Yosef Carmel. (Why didn’t they consult with me?)

I cannot find the article online. Here is the scammed scanned version.

A few months back, the NY Times had an article titled “Scripture, Meet the Web: Placing Limits on 24/7″. The column was written by Bob Tedeschi on 01/09/06. Link.

Hurricane Ernesto Aftermath, photo-op#3

Wednesday, August 30th, 2006

Hurricane Ernesto has come and gone. More like Hurricane Ernest-NO. Or, Hurricane No-Zesto. Or, Hurricane Media-Ho. Once again, the sucker-shutters crawled out of the wood work. And Wal-Mart & Target sold a ton of water.

Schools are shut today. Some businesses are closed. My city is a ghost-town in top-form shape, having been spared by this natural disaster. I think this was just a ruse for South Florida to extend the summer vacation.

This morning, I took a camera and went clicking around my city of Hallandale, Florida.

Amazon Grocery Exits Beta

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

Amazon.com, Inc. (Public, NASDAQ:AMZN)¬†sent me an email today. Yesterday they sent me one too, informing me that my order has shipped! Today’s email was to make me aware that Amazon Grocery has officially launched. This reminds me…that it’s 3PM and I still have not eaten lunch!

Anyways, if you go to the actual Amazon Grocery site, it still states that it is in Beta.

It looks like someone did not get the memo! BTW, click here to watch Tara Reid Get Denied!

Paris Hilton Adored (only) by the Poles

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

Paris Hilton might not be able to carry a tune, in a non-live setting. But she sure can carry on. Tonight she will be crooning in Vegas.

paris vegas (2).jpg

Let’s hope the singing STAYS in Vegas!

Today’s Page Six broke the “news” that we might have to endure 7 more years of the Simple Life. HILTON’S CD IS INSTANT TANKER. That can’t be good.

Paris has only sold 75,000 copies in the US. Her little sister Nicky personally purchased 68,000 copies just to boost sales!

Paris Hilton, I know you are reading this; slowly with struggles. But reading all the same. Don’t feel bad my dear. Who cares if Americans know you can’t sing? “Paris Hilton” was the number #1 search term during July in all of Poland!

So babes, look on the bright side. You have a loyal fan-base comprised of Pollack’s!

Here’s a Polish-type joke:
Q. How many dumb blondes does it take to make a hit CD?
A. We’ll never know!

Page Six: Natalie Portman is Ubiquitous

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

These days, at least according to Page Six, Natalie Portman is in the midst of her Rebbetzin Rally. And she is also omnipresent!
According to what Page Six has heard, today, Natalie Portman has been in Israel since LAST WEEK and plans to return shortly.

However, this past Sunday, Page Six reported that Natalie Portman was attending the Chabad fundraiser in the Hamptons that very night. Huh?

sunday (2).JPG

Is Page Six hard of hearing? Was Portman in fact in the Hamptons, or was it a Natalie clone? Has stem cell research been implemented? Does Natalie speak Yiddish?

The French Weigh-in on Piperlime

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

First, I apologize for letting you down. Yesterday, I did not blog about piperlime. Spank me.I will make it up to you though!

Piperlime.com has crossed the Atlantic. It has arrived in France! And the French approve of the name. Piperlime is being discussed in the Franconion blogsphere. FYI, the French do know their fashion, so this is a good sign.

The blogger is pleased that the name of the site has nothing to do with shoes! To the blogger, this is a sign of creativity and originality. Au Revoir & Merci!

The Unfoaming of Starbucks on Google Checkout

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

The other day I noticed that Geckout had molested (for lack of worser word) the Starbucks logo. I blogged and took a screen shot. Guess what? The problem has been fixed!

starbucks.JPG

Starbucks is now exuding with lucidity. And just writing about them makes me realize how badly I need my second LARGE cup of coffee!

There has also been a new sighting in the Official Google Checklout Blog. Codes have been published! They say that good things come to those who wait.

Verizon is Playing Games

Tuesday, August 29th, 2006

Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has launched an online community for gamers. Press release. Gaming site.

This is part of Verizon’s strategy to expand their telco business by spreading their wings on the web.

Verizon even has a resident blogger for the gaming site. His name is Jason Henderson.

The platform is compatible with AIM.

Perhaps this is the reason why Verizon has not dropped the surchages! BellSouth on the other hand, did drop the fees!
Oh yes. Of course, there is YouTube clip of the game.
