Forth and Towne RIP

Friday, March 16th, 2007

It’s Friday. Will indulge a bit and talk shop about the Gap Inc. Been harping on this for a long time. On this blog. On my other blog. And on my YouTube channel.

Mind you, the Gap sites are pretty well done. There are still glaring issues though. From the get-go, the creation of the Forth and Towne brand never made an sense.

The oddest thing was that F&T was not set up for ecommerce. Huh?

Do I think there is hope for the Gap? Yes. But they need to make a few important changes.

The YouTube Version of Kevin Dillon

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

This morning I check my email. There is a Google alert for “Paging Ari Gold“. The site was picked up by my new favorite blog Suburbarazzi.

So, I got in contact and we did an interview. By phone.

Read it. Trust me. It’s quite funny. Right here.

Glengarry Glen Ross

Friday, March 9th, 2007

It’s been years since I watched this flick. Glengarry Glen Ross. The movie is about sales and leads.

Anyways, today, I found the clip on YouTube. Not the whole movie. But the best part of it.

It’s a speech given by Alec Baldwin. When I watched this afternoon, I was laughing very loud. That doesn’t happen very often. That I laugh very loud. In the afternoon. Mornings; maybe. Night; sometimes. Afternoons? Never!

Then I pinged the clips to a bunch of people on my MSN messenger. (add me! st@ice.com)

Enjoy the Glengarry Glen Ross clip.

Today, my mug graces the front page of NY Times business. Perhaps the day will get even better with the departure of my head congestion!

Attention Ari Gold

Thursday, February 15th, 2007

I need an agent. Not a travel agent. I book my flights on the web. I need a talent agent. And could use a bit of talent as well.

Anyways, I do some YouTube stuff. But I need something more. An official agent. Someone well respected in the entertainment industry. His name is Ari Gold.

So, I created a YouTube clip titled: Paging Ari Gold.

And then there’s this website too called pagingarigold.com.

Hopefully, this will lead Ari Gold to me!

When YouTube Met RSS

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007

As a sequel to “When Harry Met Sally”, “When YouTube Met RSS” is an equally entertaining piece of work.

Here are various media blurbs about this latest installment of this genre:

USA Today: Thrilling!

NY Post: Thriller!

NY Times: Thrillitating!

Time Magazine: Thrills!?

A New Blog is Born

Thursday, February 8th, 2007

That is right. You read correctly. Your eyes are working fine, however, I’d still recommend you continue snacking on baby carrots.

So, many of you, the millions of you out there who read this blog, are aware, of the fact, that I misuse grammar.

You also know that I to a lot of YouTube stuffs.

Anyways, I created a new blog that is solely dedicated to my YouTube clips. The site is shmuly.wordpress.com.

There’s an RSS option of course.

Blasphemy Challenge Anyone?

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

How come I only hear about this today? Why hasn’t anyone informed me of this earlier? Why must I be the dispatcher for this sort of stuff?

There is a new user-generated campaign taking the country by storm. It’s not Dove. Or Smirnoff. Just a bunch of a folks going on camera to affirm their denial of God, Jesus, the holy ghost and usefulness of TMZ.com.

My first reaction to this story was “oh my god”. Seriously. This campaign backfired for me; instead of eliciting a deity denial, it actually spurred me to invoke the “oh mg god” statement.

For my atheistic friends, all I want to say is that when Friday arrives in the office, let us all agree that “TBBTIF”. (thanks big-bang-theory it’s Friday!)

I am just waiting for people to get angry at YouTube….as if this has anything to do with them….

Them folks have a website too.

P.S. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say this sort of initiative is pure blasphemy….

TV Pilot?

Sunday, January 28th, 2007

There is a show on the tellie called “Everyone Hates Chris“. It’s about Chris Rock growing up as a child.

Anyways, we was thinking on the couch…if there should ever be a new show called “Everyone Hates Jews”, this would be an awesome trailer.

Seriously. Dude. It could be a comedy or drama. Maybe even a sappy 90120 genre :-)
