James McGreevey: I am a Gay American Author
Former NJ Governor, James McGreevey, is coming out of the publishing closet. His new book, The Confession, will be available shortly for mass consumption. I do not want to spoil the plot, but basically, James was hiding a big secret. Then he confessed.
McGreevey will be going on a book tour. This week he will be on Oprah. Not physically on Oprah. Just on her TV show.
In 2004, James McGreevey shocked the nation with his famous announcement “I am a Gay American”. You can relive the moment by watching it here. The Country was indeed stunned with his speech. Up until until then, most people had assumed that he was a homosexual belonging to a non-US nationality.
As the book title does sound just a tad like a typical John Grisham novel (The Client, The Pelican Brief, The Runaway Jury…) , I have edited the book cover to remove any doubts and/or suspicion.

[…] One of the most disgraceful, least charismatic people I’ve ever never met has been Shmuel Tennenhaus, who wrote a blog entry about McGreevey’s new book. You can read it here. […]

It is good to hear that a very handsome, well-mannered, rich, Harvard educated man is living with his rich, handsome, well-educated male partner, an Australian financial consultant, in a 17 room mansion in Plainfied, NJ. I thought of Jane Austen’s Elizabeth and Darcey of “Pride and Prejudice”, for some reason. Now that James McGreevey has appeared on Oprah, his book, “The Confession” will most certainly hit the N.Y.Times best seller list. This sounds just like a fairy tale(no pun intended). Well, it sounds just too good to be true. I am truly happy for the couple, and wish them well. I hope James McGreevey’s story will inspire other prominent closeted gays to come out.

Yeah, great. I understand that his ex-wife, the woman he inseminated & deceived, and who stood by his side, is living in a modest ranch house out of the spotlight. She did the heavy lifting for 9 months, gave birth to his kid, and got what? I hope he pays her a percentage of the royalties.
