Lights, Camera, Amazon!
It’s official. Amazon has launched their video download service. I am almost too excited to be typing this!
Press release here. Amazon download site is here.
I am sure companies will be thrilled with this quote from the PR: “Now customers can visit Amazon.com while at work and download DVD-quality TV shows and movies to their PC at home or wherever it is most convenient for them to watch.”
The new program works very quickly: This means the typical cable broadband customer can start watching any Unbox TV show or movie within five minutes of ordering.
To hype the product, Amazon.com is offering the first download FREE. Although, some restrictions apply. Read more here.
For those of you who spend 12-hours a day in front of a computer screen at work, now you can watch your movies on your PC as well. Rock on! The tag line on the Amazon homepage reads “You’ll always remember your first time …”
And for the most ironic part yet, one of the first films available for download on this new Amazon.com product is none other than… “Failure to Launch“!
