NY Post “Page Six” At War with Keith Olbermann

As of late, it appears that Page Six has an axe to grind with MSNBC anc-whore Keith Olbermann. First, I will present the facts. Thereafter I will present my theory.

In today’s Page Six (10/09/06), there is a story about a woman who was disappointed with Olbermann’s bed-prompter skills. She even created a blog about her hardships. (His hardship was lacking.)

A few weeks ago (09/27/06) Page Six ran another story teasing Olbermann about being afraid of the white powder envelope hoax. Here’s a quote: He asked to be taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, where doctors looked him over and sent him home. Whether they gave him a lollipop on the way out isn’t known.

Does Page Six take anthrax seriously? They most certainly do. The following day (09/28/06) they did a piece on Katie Couric omitting AMI from the anthrax onsalught of 2001. (Yes; it was annual anthrax week at Page Six…hence the multiple anthrax articles.)

So Page Six is making life a living hell for Keith Olbermann. As a gossip column, it is their duty. But why is Keith Olbermann a target? And why all of a sudden NOW has Olbermann become the personal punching bag for Paula, Bill & Richard?

Here’s my theory: Keith Olbermann has recently emerged as a hero for the Bush-hating left. Many of his anti-administration monologues have been highly viewed on YouTube. (Olbermann to Bush.)

Is it possible that Page Six, through powers that be, is sending Keith Olbermann a non-too subtle message?

Simple, Keith Olbermann went off on the NY Post after the anthrax story. The Post doesn’t like anyone questioning them. Also, it is owned by Rupert Murdoch, whose employees Keith skewers on an almost nightly basis. I honestly don’t think it has that much to do with his anti-Bush tirades but far more to do with his anti-Fox, anti-NY Post, anti-O’Reilly, and Rupret Murdoch anti-Roger Ailes tirades. I’m not saying that he shouldn’t have gone after them but he ought to have known that they would come back at him with a vengence and they have.

Since when does a public display of perception, observation and opinion validate making individuals targets. What happened to the myth that we all have the right to express our views and opinions. Why is the POST sounding a lot like Bush, O’reilly, and Fox in the fact that it like our goverment has adopted ‘hanging’ up on those that do not share its (their) views. Nobody wants to play nice in the sandbox anymore…..wonder if this is the mentality that is spreading to our schools and students via the airwaves.

    Lead by example.

Keith is the motherf’n man. This regime is calling out its attack dogs to try to discredit him. I like keith, he’s a better news man than sportscaster.

I’ll go out on a limb and call him the Amerikan version of Hugo Chavez. The problem that the right has with him is that he’s not the typical left leaning punk. He’s forceful, knowledgeable and articulate

Keith Olbermann is a breath of fresh air,he has put the BUSH CRIME FAMILY in its place everytime it was needed and unlike FOX TV annd radio Keith has been up front and honest, unlike fox where the truth is what ever they can spin to make bush look great……with the Talibon now in control of 60 p/c of Afganistan, our boys being killed by invisable enemy in IRAQ and its getting worse by the day and we will loose there, with the deficit over 10 trillion,Bush still stands up and says we are safer now……what a fool, there are over 1 million illegals coming over the southern border alone, how many are terrorists,we wont know till they hit,20 million illegals here and we cant send back 10,33 p/c of them are law breakers…….then finally we have made hundreds of thousands of new terrorist by going into Iraq,a country we had completely under control……we need keith because he tells it like it is and in a way republicans have forgotten,he tells the truth

of course keith is a target, did anyone think expressing an honest, open and mostly correct point of view would not be a target ? not in this country folks, not with the corporate/ government type of facism that is taking hold of late !
think twice about the path this nation is heading, its awful hard to turn around !

[…] Earlier this week, I blog about Page Six “picking on” poor Keith Olbermann. I had a theory about all of this as well. Anyways, today, Page Six of the NY Post has another Keither Olbermann piece; this one elaborating on the plight of his unsatisfied romping partner. […]
