Walmart Tries (and fails) to Lure YouTube Audience

Several weeks ago, the folks at Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.(Public, NYSE:WMT) launched their social networking initiative (schoolyourway.walmart.com) So far, it has been as successful as Wal-Mart’s clothing & Netflix attempts. (Read: horrendous).

While some have labeled this as Walmart’s try at a MySpace community, this not the whole thrust. The Hub is actually trying to create/combine a MySpace & Youtube experience.

This is evident as they encourage hubsters (don’t get me started on this term…) to create a personal page (myspace) while also uploading video footage (youtube).

The result thus far. Nothing short of fecal matter.

Today, I noticed Walmart.com attempting to lure the YouTube audience. Check out the screen shot I grabbed. God help us all!

    So what if they leave advertisments on youtube thats the whole point trying to persuade people to come gosh give walmart a break….
