Yahoo! Inc. Search: Shmuly Tennenhaus = Brad Pitt
I often tell people, that other people often confuse ME with Brad Pitt. Like when I am walking in the mall shoppers will yell “Hey, it’s Brad Pitt“.
For whatever reason, whenever I share this information with a sane person, he/she will break into uncontrollable laughter. Perhaps they are hoping that their laughter induce a cardiac arrest and they will be privy to receive CPR from Brad Pitt.
So, if you wish to express the same reaction of disbelief, that is your choice. But know this, Yahoo! Inc. (Public, NASDAQ:YHOO) happens to agree with me.
Think I am kidding? Go to Yahoo Search & search for “shmuly tennenhaus“.
On the search results page of my name, yahoo suggests similar search terms: Also try: affiliate marketing, shmuly tennenhaus merchants, brad pitt More…‘
Take that suckers! Even Yahoo can’t tell us apart!
In case you are now scratching your head thanks to dandruff and befuddlement, I will explain how this occurred.
Several months ago I blogged about Brad Pitt & Angolina Jolie. The story got picked up by Eonline, which supplies content Yahoo Entertainment. As a result, a yahoo search for my name will automatically be associated with Brad Pitt.
FYI, the same does not occur in reverse. A Yahoo Search for Brad Pitt will not suggest “Shmuly Tennenhaus” as similar search term.
Perhaps Shania Twain out to update her lyrics to conform to Web 2.0:
“So, your name shows up next to Brad Pitt on Yahoo Search? That Dont Impress Me Much“.
